PKMNation: Gala preparation (Oct. week 1 event)

It was finally time for Vajdakite to go visit her lifemate, Michael the Arbok, at his homeranch Distant Utopia.  It would be the first time Vajdakite and Michael’s daughter Meionite would see her father’s and sister’s homeranch. And her another daughter, Sadie, would be there which made both Meionite and Vajdakite’s son Malachite super excited and Vajdakite really happy, since they could all spend some time together as a family.

After arriving at the Distant Utopia and exchanging warm welcomes and news about their respective home ranches they were met by Distant Utopia’s owner, Stacy. Stacy told them about an invitation to a gala, where everyone would be expected to dress up, and since she wouldn’t really want to participate it would be rather nice if Michael, Vajdakite and their kids would. After deciding to dress up in all matching clothes as a Draper family they began to search for fitting clothes, wigs and other accessories.

“Malachite! Stop teasing your sisters, you are the oldest so you need to help them!” Vajdakite shouted after Malachite had pulled a sheet over Sadie telling her to go as a ghost, again.

“I’m sorry mom.. but ghosts are a lot more interesting than a regular family!” Malachite complained back.

“But Malach, you know we are not going to a plain costume party, but a full scale gala, and ghosts aren’t really proper gala dress ups.. Now Vajdakite dear, can you help with these buttons?”  said Michael, having difficulties buttoning up his shirt without hands.

“Ugh.. fiiine dad” Malachite agreed, but made a long face to Sadie and Mei when neither of his parents were looking and then started to pull the shirt over his head.

“But Sadie, why did you dress up as a boy?” asked Mei, confused why her sister was in boy’s clothes and not in a pretty dress like herself.

“Duh, because there’s two boys and one girl in the family we are dressings as, silly.” answered Sadie. “And besides, these clothes are cool enough and very comfy to wear” she continued.

After getting all of their clothes to look right Vajdakite took one last bag from the pile of supplies they had.. “And now for the finishing touch of the looks: wigs!” she exclaimed. “There are these short, cool ones for you Sadie and Malach, this long and pretty is for you Mei, this handsome silver for you dear and this longer blond one is for me” she continued, fitting each wig to the respective owner’s head. And so they were ready to go to the gala.

“Michael?”

“Yes dear?”

“I know this will be a wonderful time with us and the kids together. I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Meanwhile at Moraine Ridge:

“A gala? Yeah whatever” said trainer Helen as she tossed the invitation to a pile of unsorted mail.
